An unique place your family will want to remember.
“This lovely old building — The Gold Miner Hotel was built in the winter of 1897-1898 near the end of this little town’s short lived Gold Rush days. Today the Gold Miner Hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The building’s foursquare-style log construction, with white clapboard front and front porch was high design for this remote location of the time, with elements of gingerbread, decorative and high-end milled trim. Over the years, the wind, weather and regular 10-foot snow drifts unique to this part of Colorado, have placed the entire structure at risk and threaten to wipe away the historic detail. To me it couldn’t be more beautiful. A wonderful inviting bed and breakfast today for Boulder and Denver folks wanting a relaxing mountain get-away retreat.”
“Great three days. Walking—food—talks—gambling but best of all was finding “GOLD” in the creek”
“Thank you both for your warm hospitality shown our car club this past Saturday. We all learned so much about your unique, quaint historic Goldminer Hotel both from your fascinating talk and subsequent tour; your passion to painstakingly restore it was evident. We also appreciated the welcoming home-baked, scrumptious coffee cake and accompanying drinks.”
“Very relaxing stay—wonderful environment. Thank you for a very lovely stay!”
“The “wind” was divine! ”
“Ask Carol about the ghost that lives upstairs! If you’ve ever wanted to stay in an authentic mountain ghost town, this is your chance. The rooms are all different in typical B&B style, some with brass beds and all pretty chilly in the winter. But there’s a woodstove downstairs and an amazing hot breakfast (not those lame 6-week old pastries and stale coffee most places put out in an excuse for breakfast). ”
“Refreshing spring dip, great horse rides and abundant gold find”
“I saw the Ghost. What a wonderful place especially for us city folk”
“The Goldminer is quaint and historic, and the innkeepers are friendly and make a great breakfast. Ask for the room with the jacuzzi-style tub. They also have a hot tub downstairs. Eldora is a good ski resort for families and for the beginning to intermediate skier.”
“I like how it’s old fashioned. Old but they have cool technology there. It looks like a ghost town with dirt roads and stuff.”
